My speedo had the same problem. At my first
routine tune up, I asked the repair man to
"do something about it". It came back quiet,
and he said "I tightened it a bit". I hope
it stays tightened. Other postings have suggested
wrapping it in duct tape or putting a tube
around it.
When I first got the bike, it sounded like
something in the engine was coming apart. Putting
a hand on the speedo assembly finally convinced
me that the problem was annoying but not fatal.
The bike only had 3700 miles, but I got it from
a Honda dealer who wasn't interested in fixing
anything. A salesman finally helped me troubleshoot
the noise.
